The University Grants Committee (UGC) is the non-statutory body which advises the government of the funding and strategic development of higher education in Hong Kong. In this role, the UGC works with institutions, the administration and the community to promote excellence in the higher education sector, with a view to establishing Hong Kong as the education hub of the region and to nurturing high quality people to promote the economic and social development of Hong Kong. The eight institutions of higher education which are funded through the UGC are City University of Hong Kong (CityU), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), Lingnan University (LU), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Hotcourses works with UGC to help UGC institutions connect with prospective students from around the world and also produces the course search engine used on the StudyHK website.
Education New Zealand is the New Zealand governmental body responsible for the marketing of New Zealand as an education destination to international students. Through its research, marketing programmes & collaboration with international education partners as well as its own educational service providers, Education New Zealand supports and promotes New Zealand’s international education industry. Hotcourses has been contracted to collect and supply the Study in New Zealand website with comprehensive program content.
