The Master of Science (M.S.) Degree is a research-oriented degree within the general field of epidemiology. It includes the preparation of a thesis or comprehensive examination and is appropriate for students intending to go into a research career. The curriculum for the MS degree serves as the pedagogical foundation for students pursuing a PhD in the Department. Therefore, participation in the MS program corresponds with the expected time-to-degree for the PhD.
