The Master of Professional Studies (Agriculture) is a terminal degree for persons with experience who want additional training pertinent to their profession. In addition, the M.P.S. (Agriculture and Life Sciences) program has a Peace Corp option in which the student undertakes two semesters of academic work at Cornell and a Peace Corp assignment. Based at Cornell's Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, students in the MPS in AEM program study a wide range of topics, from international trade and development, to food, energy, and resource economics, to innovations in technology. In addition to choosing from five industry-focused concentrations, students have the option to pursue the CEMS Certificate in International Management, which is unique to Cornell-the only university in the United States to offer this certificate. The CEMS certificate provides you with an open door to one of more than 30 top-tier business schools globally for a semester abroad and the ability to work on a Cornell-designed international project (Global Performance Learning Lab). To be considered for the CEMS certificate, students must be in the MPS in AEM program and enrolled in the International and Developmental Economics concentration. Students enrolled or interested in one of the other concentrations can still qualify for the CEMS certificate, however, timelines to complete the program may vary depending on the concentration being pursued.
