课程简介
Accountants offer a wide range of financial services in the public, business and government sectors. Our accounting majors spend two years taking core business classes before specializing in the subject. Graduates find jobs as everything from auditors and tax specialists to chief financial officers. Many of our accounting undergraduates go on to earn a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) graduate degree from us as well.<br>The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting is offered to students who seek careers as accountants and auditors with public accounting firms or with commercial, industrial, or public institutions. A graduate in this major has a variety of career options such as internal auditor, cost accountant, budget director, tax accountant, Internal Revenue agent, municipal finance officer, controller, or chief financial officer. An accountant's main responsibilities include auditing, tax services, and management consulting. Accountants who work in corporations make sure the finances and operations of their particular companies are in order, and their practices comply with company policies and government regulations. Government agencies also hire many accountants to perform similar duties as their counterparts employed in public accounting firms and private corporations, however, government agencies also hire forensic accountants, who use their accounting skills to investigate potential theft and fraud. Some accountants, after passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, open their own practices and provide their services to smaller companies and their communities.
