TOEFL iBT - Total: 78, Each Section: 19, Except Writing: 18
TOEFL PBT - Total: 550
IELTS - Overall: 6.5, Each Section: 6.0
An International Baccalaureate grade of 4 or higher in English A1 or A2 at the Higher Level or Standard Level or English B at the Higher Level is required for admission (predicted or actual).
Graduation from a U.S. high school and completion three (3) full years of regular English (non-ESL) course work with a grade point average of 2.5 in those courses. Students who have attended at least two (2) years of high school in the U.S. (at the time of application) are also expected to submit an ACT or SAT and meet our freshman admission standards.
Submission of ONE of the following test scores:
a) 21 or higher on the ACT English
b) 520 or higher on the SAT I Evidence-based Reading and Writing (if taken after March 2016)
c) 500 or higher on the SAT I Verbal (if taken prior to March 2016)
An ACT or SAT score is not required, unless you have attended at least two (2) years of school in the U.S. at the time of application or wish to apply for a scholarship.

The demand for graduates with knowledge of international business, cultural and area studies, and international relations continues to increase. Globalization has created a need for global citizens who are culturally aware and internationally oriented.An International Studies degree prepares students for rewarding careers with multinational corporations, government, nonprofit organizations, in education, and other areas of the international job market.<br><br>In Texas and throughout the United States, demand for graduates with knowledge of international business, cultural and area studies, and language skills continues to increase. The growing movement toward intercontinental and international trade blocs, such as NAFTA and the European Union, has created a need for persons who are not only skilled in business and communications technology, but also cultural understanding and international business practices. The Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (B.A.I.S.) degree offered by the Center addresses this need and prepares students for work in multinational corporations, state and federal governmental agencies with international divisions, and nonprofit corporations.<br><br>In addition to its academic programs, the Center gives its students several opportunities to develop global awareness and intercultural sensitivity during their undergraduate years, including internships and study abroad.
