The BSc Accounting with a Foundation Year at Swansea University will do just that. If you don't achieve the necessary grades to enrol on to the BSc Accounting course, the BSc Accounting with a Foundation Year degree is for you. The Foundation Year is an excellent pathway to gaining the required knowledge and skills in accounting before joining Year 1 students of the BSc Accounting degree within the School of Management. If you want a career at one of the ‘big four' accounting firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG or PwC), or if see yourself as an in-house accountant for a government body, small or large business, not-for-profit organisation, or individual, the BSc Accounting degree will equip you with everything you need. As an accountant, you will play a fundamental role in the running of a business – big or small. Managing budgets and taxes, financial reporting, completing audits - all are critical in ensuring that a business or organisation runs as effectively and successfully as possible. The Foundation Year is taught at The College, located next to the School of Management.
