The Masters by Research programme is embedded in the ‘ImplementBangor' which has a particular focus on studying and undertaking implementation, with particular attention to service improvement, quality assurance and the application of implementation to increase the use of evidence in practice. ‘ImplementBangor' also benefits from being part of the distinctive range of multidisciplinary expertise within the Bangor Institute of Health and Medical Research (BIHMR) that will support students on the programme. As part of the research centre there is a vibrant group of multidisciplinary postgraduate research projects examining a wide range of areas linked to implementation science. The Masters by Research programme will provide a dedicated route for high calibre students who want to carry out clinical, health or social care research focused on implementation science. This includes a focusing on a range of implementation approaches, realist inquiry and engagement in a range of health services research. ‘ImplementBangor' centres on using a range of implementation approaches, including Realist Evaluation and Realist Review. Its aim is to create knowledge of what works and why. This underpins the postgraduate programme.
