WPI's MS in Computer Security program is a specialization within the Computer Science program that helps you understand the science and engineering of security within the broader frameworks of institutions and society. You'll approach real-world problems like security-related threats and technical vulnerabilities through interdisciplinary coursework and team-based collaboration. The non-thesis track will prepare you for industrial positions, and the thesis track readies you for PhD study related to computer security.<br>While all students in the MS in Computer Security program at WPI will learn to approach technical computer security problems in the context of users and organizations, you'll have the flexibility to chart your own course. You'll study core competencies in software, systems/networks, and wireless/Internet-level security, and then direct your curriculum to suit your interests with course options like Cryptography, Software Security Design, and Operations Risk Management.
