The Bachelor of Nursing will prepare you to enter a career as a Registered Nurse in the Australian healthcare environment. You will learn vital skills in assessment and clinical decision making, person-centred care, professional communication, enquiry and research, awareness of diversity and self-care practices. This Bachelor of Nursing course provides you with an opportunity to deliver care in multiple healthcare, industry and community settings. Our Bachelor of Nursing degree takes a person-centred and community-focused approach to education. Delivered over three years through contemporary and evidence-based methods, the Bachelor of Nursing teaches foundational human biology and research practice, essential clinical knowledge and skills, as well as how to put patients first. Through your experience at our on-campus simulation hospital environment and 840 hours of clinical placements, you will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to register and confidently begin working across a variety of different healthcare and community settings. The Bachelor of Nursing Enrolled Nurse pathway allows you to enter our bachelor's in Nursing in the second year, while other options for prerequisites for Bachelor of Nursing include at ATAR of 60 or work-life experience. On completion of the Bachelor of Nursing degree, you are eligible to apply for registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA), which will allow you to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in hospital, aged care or other community health settings.
