They will help!

The thing Ilike the most at Goldsmiths is the quite radical leftwing approaches they have in study. the other thing I really like is that the University is very helpful when it comes to sort visas out and solving money related issues. If they can do anything for you, i'm sure they will do it. They are quite flexible for both visa and fees, at least in my case. A good example of bureaucracy in favour of the students.

Don't miss it!

Goldsmiths is the best if you are into fine Arts, computational arts, Music, Sociology and humanistic related fields. The strength of students at this school is tong, open-minded, creative and always on top of the social issues. In terms of the European Philosophies, Goldsmiths offers an outstanding level of research and promote a strong culture of critical thinking. It is therefore a fundamental ground for people that study theory and practice here.

Best for arts in Uk

Goldsmiths has a unique system and an extremely student-based approach to learning. The facilities are great (and they are improving every year). I'm in the fine art department and the workshops and the technicians are very diverse and helpful. Tutorial are various and on a personal basis. Excellent level of teaching.
I recommend

Do enroll!

Goldsmiths is one of the most recognised Art universities in Uk and an excellence centre for research and creativity. Since I started my master I always felt part of a community of creative people that exchange knowledge and passion for for the disciplines. New Cross is also a vibrant area full of young people and bars and pubs where to have fun and enjoy your free time away while away from the books.
I would strongly recommend

Yes you can

I'm very happy with my choice of studying at Goldsmiths. I enjoy the lectures and I found most of my classmates interesting.
I also enjoy New Cross area, it feels like a community ben being so close to central London.
A thing i would like to be improved is the administration as there are often misunderstandings.
Apart from that I'm really enjoying my experience at this uni and i would recommend it to others

Practice, not only theory

I would like to recomment my course (MFA Fine Art) at Goldsmiths because there are a lot of equal opportunities to get chance for studying (eg visiting tutors, seminars, etc). in comparison to other art schools. And the course is really critical. It will be great to graduate having developed a great personal practice as well as understanding the theories.

Career prospect

The Fine Arts degree helps you to become an artist, but career prospects are hard in this field. The university could do more to build links with institutions to help students to make the transtion to a professional life.

Critical thinking

Goldsmiths really encourage students to think fo themselves by integrating their own opinions in their work supported by academic literature. So we are expected to build on top of theories. Good lecturers. Heavy coursework.

My experience in Goldsmiths

Goldsmiths is one college that is very open and multinational, allowing students to enjoy and study. The most interesting masters are in media and arts, but the IMS (Institute of Management Studies) offers great programmes as well. It provides students with management and business prospects together to gain knowledge for their future career and further development. I experience quite an academic and intellectual atmosphere here, which is challenging but also interesting. A point to improve is the interaction between tutors and students - it could be more in depth.

I am really enjoying my experience at Goldsmiths. Its a really easy going and fun environment to work in and I would recommend joining up to some societies as its a great way to meet new people and socialize.
